In a news report by Yahoo!’s Arlette Saenz, weird Alaskan/politician Sarah Palin was at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference where she was quoted as saying:
“Militarily, where is our commander in chief? We’re talking now more new interventions. I say until we know what we’re doing, until we have a commander in chief who knows what he’s doing, well, let these radical Islamic countries who aren’t even respecting basic human rights, where both sides are slaughtering each other as they scream an arbitrary red line, “Allah Akbar,” I say until we have someone who knows what they’re doing, I say let Allah sort it out.”
Palin was criticizing the White House’s decision to send weapons to the rebels of Syria after the Obama administration caught wind of the Syrian government using chemical weapons against its own citizens. She would later go on to criticize the Obama administration for “tyranny” in the government, egged on by the most recent Internal Revenue Service and National Security Agency controversies as of late.
But of course, sounding good on the microphone can only go so far when you’ve got such a small brain. Palin fails to see how mute and hypocritical her words ring. Not only is a humanitarian agenda not stashed away in that big hair of hers; but she can’t seem to make the distinction of what a real “tyranny” even is. From what I can recall, the IRS and the NSA weren’t necessarily butchering Americans or releasing deadly pathogens in the air. In fact, last I heard, the NSA weren’t so good at putting Power Points together.
I mean, c’mon, you guys. As long as you’re not doing anything criminal, there’s nothing to be worried about, right?
On top of that, “until we know what we’re doing?” Uhm, wasn’t it your political party that threw us in Afghanistan and then in Iraq on just a whim in 2004? Let’s not, because I’m still bitter after having to watch those documentaries in journalism class. Also, the keyword in her speech is “intervention,” as in the intervention of America (fuck yeah!) coming in and aiding/protecting the people from tyranny – the same apparent tyranny that Palin wants to rally conservatives together to battle in America… which isn’t so tyrannical if you compare it to Syria or Libya.
But you know, I say, why don’t we let this democratic country that isn’t even respecting basic human rights, where both sides are slaughtering each other in D.C. as they scream “WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN BENGHAZI,” I say until we have someone who can speak without sounding like such a douchebag, let Obama sort all this shit out.
I’m just saying, man, the bat shit is dressed to the nines when you have Sarah Palin as a keynote speaker to your dinners.
